Stonehenge

Imagining what colours mid-Summer might reflect off of Stonehenge, JMJ chose to use the red colour pallet to create this painting. Ranging from flesh pink to a deep burgundy, each stone stands out individually on the canvas, like chess pieces about to be placed and replaced depending on the position of the sun. JMJ added a fast moving stream to suggest that the henge is on an island; similar to the way it's cut off by paths and a road, currently.
