Set in cement

JMJ named this painting 'Set in cement' because no amount of research led to the discovery of the real sculpture's identity. The 7ft high piece of public art is positioned at the top of public access steps, along High Street (East), Hendon, Sunderland. The water, and building beyond, are a reaction to the vast distance between the concrete sculpture and the river bank beyond.
